Wasn't expecting this after the 90s

I often get on here and complain about the terrible things industry does to pregnant women. Killing time before bed, I found this monstrosity:

Yes, that is a horrible red christmas plaid meant for the summer. And yes, that is a nifty little frilly collar to take the grunge that plaid is known for to feminine. Pregnant women everywhere: RUN.

check it out check it out

Ran into this website while figuring out how to decorate my boys' rooms and the rest of my house. HOLY WOW! And what great prices too:

PS Check out their toilet decal. I'd so never do that, but they are funny.

PPS Some sunshine today- D said he likes a name! It's Gabriel, which may have some potential, but this is the first time he's made a suggestion other than "Minion" or "Justin Case". I still owe my brother in law for that last one.

During the Hiatus

So we moved one week and D was gone on business for another. I have painted my little heart out and result is a crappy job that meant well. No one told me that paneling would be so difficult. We are spent to say the least. All three of us. D hasn't rested once since he got back from his business trip. P is having difficulty adjusting to new house, new room, new bed and where did daddy go? My family pampers me, but I'm tired.
Our house is coming along. When I've had decent enough rest from painting, I'm going to start in on my boys' rooms. Oh, and I did say BOYS as in plural! I am very excited to have another little guy in the family. Of course I feel disappointed that I can't buy girl's clothes, yet. But every mama needs a little son to love her and cuddle her the way mine does and I'm excited to add another.
Our ultrasound went very well. We are completely healthy. And as I have become somewhat wiser this past year, I was very grateful and a healthy baby is all I can hope for. Our little guy didn't move much which is very different that any of P's ultrasounds. From the very first he was kicking his little legs. This one doesn't. He was moving his little mouth which was precious and he had his legs crossed and one leg up around his head most of the time. When he eventually uncrossed, it was very obvious he was a boy. Even I could tell! The technician said that he is measuring a little bit small, but for right now, it's nothing to be concerned about. P is teeny now, but he wasn't when he was born and D and I aren't large people, so it's ok.
We have no name yet. We have nothing that feels right so far, but I do love Ryan more and more. Surprising, since I go for "unusual but not weird". Maybe I exhausted all my best efforts with P. Anyway, someday I'll have something to call him other than "new baby" or "mystery brooks". Or the quiet son, as this guy has his own personality.

What a Week This Will BE!

This is going to be a good week. Today we closed on our house! We are officially home owners and it feels great. We're so excited that we're FINALLY in the settle down stage. No more running back and forth across the country and worrying about school and jobs, etc.

The people we bought the house from were really nice and cleaned it really well and left us a bottle of wine. We don't drink, (any takers anyone?), but they also gave us a DVD of all the renovations they did and did you know HallMark has a card for occassions like this?

We went to a lawyer's office and signed all of our paperwork. There really wasn't too much and I figured there'd be way more. P was perfection and WOW I wrote the biggest check of my life. Our loan officer was there and I appreciated that he admitted that the banks were shady when it came to appraisals. He said he has a couple that want a house that had appraised for 165, but since they're getting it at 145, he knows the appraisal will be at 146. Still very deceitful of the bank, but I like it when people can admit it. And our loan guy has no control over that stuff and he was great to work with.

We spent the rest of the day unloading one trailer full and taping up the walls for paint. The people before us liked warm orangey colors and we prefer much cooler tones.

D is taking and unloading another trailer full TUESDAY all by himself. I'm going to spend all day cleaning this place.

WEDNESDAY, my dad has off, so he's going to help me paint in the morning and move our big things in the afternoon. I'm SO grateful for his help. My mom is dying that she can't help paint, but believe me, there is PLENTY more to paint.

THURSDAY will be a loose string day and hopefully we won't have to come back to Upper again and we can start to put our house together.

FRIDAY is our Ultrasound! I'm really excited for it. We're officially 19 weeks along. This time is different than with Baby P. With him I just figured everything was perfect and I wanted to confirm he'd be a boy. This time, while I'm excited to find out the gender, I want to make sure there are four heart valves and two brain halves and all the organs are in their place.

Anyway, it's a big and VERY exciting week!

ANGER

Remember how before we applied for our loan we went to the bank we were going to use and used one of their House Appraisers for our house? Well that appraisal came back at the exact amount the home owner was asking for. No big surprise.
Well, now that we have applied for our loan, the bank sent someone over there (again). And Wonder of Wonders, the appraisal came back at what we're paying for it. $15,000 LESS than the original.
Thank goodness for the bank, because that 2nd appraisal means our interest rate goes up an ENTIRE 1%!
They said the difference is due to the fact the first appraiser overlooked some trailers that were nearby. Really? Like she didn't notice them the first time around? Really?
Is there anyone honest out there anywhere? I'm so angry. I don't want to do business with people like that. It's so shady and blatantly dishonest. These people are liars!
And we have to move to town so we're trapped and don't have any choice.
By the way, we're going through
1st CITIZENS NATIONAL BANK. DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THEM.

An Attempt to Narrow it Down

While I still don't have any fella names that satisfy me, and my husband keeps throwing names at me like "Minion", which coincidentally divorced him from the project, I have narrowed down a few favorites and want to get the public's opinion. See Side Bar to vote:
